The Sangers Go Skiing

For Daddy's birthday he took us five oldest and our cousin Patrick skiing at Camelback Mountain Resort.  This was our first time ever to go skiing (besides Daddy, he's a skiing/snowboarding pro :) so we started out on the bunny hill. :) By the end of the day we all had gotten the hang of it and were scaring daddy with our daring jumps! :)

Hopie skiing like a pro!

Now, do you think she did this double diamond run?!  She didn't attempt this run but at the end of the day she and Dad went down the Pharoh a black diamond run.  She's the only one that attempted a black diamond run!  Great job Hope!

Heading down the Nile Mile a blue run...

We all had a great time!  Thanks for taking us Dad!

The Post You've Been Waiting For :)

Well, many of you commented, guessing the gender of Baby Sanger #8
so we won't make you wait any longer to find out what it is! :)

Those of you who guessed it's a boy were correct!
Baby Boy Sanger is due in July!

Tune In @ 8!

To those of you who are checking; the baby's gender will be announced at 8:00 p.m. this evening since it is the eighth child! :)  Thanks for your patience... I know it's been hard for some of you! ;)  Thanks to those who commented, it's been really fun to see what you all think.

Take Your Guess!

Most of you all know that we will be welcoming another little one into our family this year.  We are all very excited about the arrival of our new little sibling!  Today, Mommy had her ultrasound and we found out the gender of the baby.  What do you think Baby Sanger #8 will be?  Leave a comment with your name and once we have 20 comments we'll let you all know what the baby's gender is!

A Visit With Friends

Friday evening we had some friends over from western Pennsylvania.  Sis. Elsie's sister and mother were in to visit them from western Canada so we thought it would be fun for them to experiance an Amish buggy ride.  Our neighbors came over and gave buggy rides then stayed to visit for awhile.

 Off they go!

Too Cute To Eat!

Thursday afternoon our Keeper's club met at Sis. Kim's house for a meeting to play with food!
Last year at our Keepers Banquet, Sis. Judy made a beautiful (and yummy) braided bread.  The meeting started off with a demonstration.  Each family brought a fun snack for everyone to make and at the end we all enjoyed some fresh bread and our creative snacks!

Sis. Judy separated her dough into three sections which she rolled out.

Instead of starting at the top, when you braid bread you start in the middle and go to each end.

Grace and Emily working on their "apple frogs" :)

The frog's body is an apple, the eyes are cream cheese balls with chocolate chips, and the legs are grapes cut in half!

Faith and her "car".
A milkyway candy bar with M&M wheels stuck on with peanut butter, and a little graham man driver :)

Hope working on her sheep!

Working on our owl cupcakes!  These were so cute!
A cupcake for the base, an oreo cookie for the eyes, an M&M beak, and two pieces of candy corn for the feathers!

Working on a butterfly cupcake

Faith showed us how to make fun penguins out of olives, cream cheese, and carrots!

"Pencils" out of cheese sticks, boglona, a bugle and raisin, with cream cheese for "glue".

Tasting the snacks!

This was a really fun meeting!  We all had fun playing with our food!
