Hannah's Bridal Shower

Hannah's bridal shower was on Sunday at Aunt Rebekah's house... It was an amazing bridal shower! 

Aunt Rebekah did an awesome job decorating and making delcious cheesecakes!

Dutch Wonderland

Last week, Joy, Elainah, David, and I went to Dutch Wonderland with Uncle Steve, Aunt Jennifer, and Patrick.  Each year our local library's summer reading program generously gives free tickets to Dutch Wonderland, a local amusment park.

What We've Been Up To...

Last Saturday, Joshua, Joyanna, and I rode out to the Bahners with Grandpa and Grammy.
Every year they have a potluck picnic on their farm. 
I forgot to check if I had a camera card in the camera...and...I forgot it! 
So there are only a few pictures!!  :)

Tuesday, our cousins, Jamie and Eric came up to visit for the day.

We had fun taking them down to the pond and on bike rides.

Hope and Jamie are like two peas in a pod, they could almost pass for brother and sister.
 As a practical joke, Hope, knowing Jamie loves cookies, took one and with Lillia's assistance, filled it with toothpaste. 
They made sure it landed on Jamie's plate and when he took a bite he got a little more than he bargained for!!! ;)


I feel bad I haven't posted in a long time...It seems like we are so busy!  Our Amish neighbor, John, is always blessing us with fresh produce from his huge garden.  We have gotten lots of sweet corn, tomatoes, potatoes, and sweet peppers from him so our freezers are filling up.  We started school around the beginning of August and are trying to be dilligent in our studies!  Summer is coming to an end and it is starting to get dark earlier...Autumn is just around the corner!

 

 

 

 

Creekside Camp 2012!

Sunday night through Tuesday, Will and Renee devoted their time to the young people ages 8-12.

This is the second year for them to put on Creekside Camp for the kids not old enough to go to Still Waters.  Grace and I were "junior chaperones" so we helped with the meals and craft times.  Sunday evening Uncle Steve came and talked about the meaning of their names.  The verse they memorized was Proverbs 22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.  They enjoyed singing Still Waters camp songs around the bonfire before doing a craft.  Monday they were up bright and early ready for a fun day of kayaking and swimming down on the pond.  Sunburnt kids roasted smores around the campfire and Uncle Steve spoke about the plan of salvation.  During Monday night/early morning thunder storms sent us all running for the farmhouse with our sleeping bags and pillows!  Thankfully the rain let up and the kids were able to go swimming again during the day. Camp ended Tuesday afternoon with happy kids headed home for a full night of sleep!  Thanks to Will and Renee for all they did!  Also to Bro. Dave and Sis. Linda for letting us camp and swim at their farm!  

Joanna Strite's Visit

After Still Waters Camp Joanna Strite came home with Joshua and I.

It was such a blast to have her here and we all were sad to see her go on Friday!

We kept her busy doing stringbeans and sweet peppers! :)

Of course we took her swimming every day at the pond!

 Wednesday evening we brought home Zoe, Joanna H., Grace, Abigail, Shelia, Anna, Faith, Lincoln, and Ella for a few days of fun!  Thursday we went to the park and played some beach volleyball.

Then we tried doing the pyramid... *pictures explain it all* :)

We made soft pretzels and pumpkin chocolate chip cookies one evening...

Friday night there was volleyball on the farm and Joanna got to see her sister, Joylin, after 7 weeks away from home!

Thanks for staying at our house Joanna!

Still Waters Camp

Last week Joshua and I got to go to Still Waters Youth Camp in Indiana and let me tell you it was AWESOME!!!  Everything about this camp is 1st class!  Bro. Joseph is right there shooting paint balls and jumping on tables with the campers!  I don't have too many pictures from the week...to be honest I only took 16!  I was having too much fun to take pictures!!! :)  If you would like to see more pictures of the week please click here :)
