Gone Camping...

Our family took a little camping trip up to New Hampshire.
A few years ago we enjoyed Attitash Mountain Alpine Slides so much that we decided to come back again.  It is a ski slope in the winter and has on-mountain adventures in the summer. What is an alpine slide you might ask?  It is a slide that goes from the top of the mountain winding down to the bottom. It is the longest alpine slide in the U.S.A.
On Sunday we had church up on Cherry Mountain Road. This is the area where the story of the mother deer took place with Bro. Branham and his friend Bert Call.
We enjoyed sight seeing and riding a gondola on Wildcat Mt. which is right across from Mt. Washington.
The Basin at Franconia Notch were really fun to hike as well! We had an awesome time!
I hope you enjoy this little video I put together.

Nathan & Genia

Our cousins Nathan and Genia came to visit for a couple of weeks this summer.
We had a lot of fun together.

We went to the pond pretty much every day.

One day Grandpa and Grammy came over and brought Bethany along.

Going on a walk one day

On nice summer nights you can usually find us on a bike ride.

Mommy and the kids went to Strasburg Railroad

They were able to go on a train ride.

On the way home they stopped by Lapp Valley Farm and got ice cream.

Favorite thing to do in the summer …. sleep outside!

While they were here Beniah came for a visit.

Looks like someone's tired.  What's a better place to lay on then your aunt?

Cousin conferences on the trampoline.

Painting our aprons for Chick fil a Day, with a little help from the ducklings.

Putting our muscles to work with tug-a-war.

We totally loved having Nathan and Genia stay at our house.
Can't wait to have you all again!

Still Waters Camp 2018

Every summer some members of our family go to Still Waters Youth Camp in Indiana.
There are four camps-  one for the 13-15 year olds and three for the 16-28 year olds. Not only do we go to have fun and to make friends, we go there to get closer to the Lord, and to recharge our batteries. Doing all the activities is lots of fun but it's just honey on the rock letting us lick it off to get what we need underneath.
I hope you enjoy looking through some of the pictures below...
Want to see all of the Still Waters photos? click HERE.

Thursday, the second to last day of camp, is competition day.  We all get matching tee shirts and are put onto teams with 5 girls and 5 boys. This years theme was" Identified".  Us as Christians are identifying ourselves to the Word, and being odd balls to the world.

My teammates and I.  We were on Team Echo.

Quiet Time

On Tuesday and Friday we have Chapel service, and let me tell you they are the most wonderful services you'll every attend!!

A Couple weeks after my camp Joshua and Lillia went! Monday when you arrive, is pretty calm, you check in and head to your dorms.  They also give you a tablet for things like pictures/the Bible/and also the schedule, because you are not allowed to have any electronics.

On Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings we have a Bonfire.  Everyone gathers around the fire and sings together until its time fore bed.  If  you love good singing, you'll love It!

Everyday we have Quiet Time for an hour.  Everyone gets under a tree and prays/reads the Bible/or listens to a tape.  Its a wonderful thing that we need to do everyday.

The Camp is meant for young people to be a city of refuge from the world, to get closer to God, while not being distracted.  That's why we don't have our phones which is one of the biggest distractions.
It has been a blessing in so many ways for me
and every year that I go I take a big step closer to the Lord.
As you end the best week of the year you already get excited for the next year!
