Keepers Luncheon

Thursday our Keepers club had the annual badge ceremony.  We don't have Keepers during the summer because of everyone's busy schedules.  Last year we had a brunch with all the Keepers families but this year we decided to do something a little different.  We had a luncheon for the ladies!  Sisters from church came and joined us for an afternoon of fellowship.  The Keepers girls and their moms arrived early and helped set up tables and decorate.  Thanks for all your help! :)

On the ledge we displayed all of the projects we've done this past year for the ladies to look at.

 Some sashes...
Each project out of the Keepers Handbook that we complete, we recieve a badge.
This is the ninth year of our Keepers Club so a few of us girls have quite a few badges! :)

After the meal we asked the ladies to share either a scripture, a quote, or something to encourage the Keepers girls.

Sis. Simone compiled a list of "You say:" versus "God says:"
You say: "It's impossible"   God says: "All things are possible" (Luke 18:27)
You say: "I feel all alone"   God says: "I will never leave you or forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5)
You say: "I can't figure things out"   God says: "I will direct your steps" (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Each girl recieved a certificate of achievement for completing another year with the club.
We all memorized and recited Titus chapter 2:1-15 to the ladies.

Danielle's Tea-Party Bridal Shower

It's hard to believe the girl who was my mom's flower girl is now getting married!
Danielle is getting married in June and her tea-party themed bridal shower was last Saturday.

David & Isha's Reception

In January David and Isha were married in Canada.  Since most of us here in PA weren't able to attend the wedding, they had a reception down here a few weeks ago.   The food was delicious and we all enjoyed a fun evening full of fellowship and laughter.

Uncle Jon was a great MC.
He had a game called "The Newleyweds Game"

Uncle Jon asked the wives to leave while he asked the men 5 questions about their wives.

Then the wives came back in and had to guess what answer their husbands had given to describe them.

If you wanted the couple to kiss, instead of clanging silverware you had to
sing a song with the word "Love" in it or share a memory of David and Isha.

Thanks to Rosie for sharing her pictures with me!  Mom and I helped serve so I didn't get as many as I thought. :) You know how that goes! :)

Stepping Stones

Thursday afternoon we had a very fun Keepers meeting at Aunt Jeanine's house.
We made stepping stones for our gardens!
We started off with a short prayer and a few quotes about being stepping stones.

59-0419A  - And may all my mistakes in life only be a stepping-stone to others, that would bring them closer to Thee. Grant it, Lord.
60-0403  - Guide my feet; hold my hand, Lord.  May I never become a stumbling block to anyone, but may I be a stepping stone to every wayfaring traveler.

deciding what we wanted on our stones... pebbles, gems, shells, etc.
