:: Picking Oranges ::

Wednesday morning we left St. Joseph's State Park and drove to the Lake Louise State Park just outside Orlando.
We still had one more stop before we left the sunny state of Florida...

A few years ago when we were in the Orlando area we stopped at this organic orchard on the side of the road.  Mom wanted to stop here again before we left so we could take some Florida oranges home.

Going to pick our oranges...

Juggling in the orchard :)

The best oranges are at the top!

Daddy at the top of the ladder picking oranges and throwing them down to me to put in the bag!

Lilly's in the lake... they also saw two alligators

Everyone flew home to Pennsylvania on Thursday morning except Dad and I :)  I flew to Arizona for the weekend and Daddy returned the motorhome and flew home later that day.  The trip to Florida was very fun... lots of memories made and fun times with friends!

St. Joseph State Park

Monday we drove to St. Joseph's State Park and spent the day on the beach.

The park where we stayed was starting controlled fires to burn out the underbrush

The park is on a little peninsula that juts out near the gulf of Mexico on the panhandle of Florida.  We walked over from the ocean side of the beach to the bay side where Daddy, Joshua, David, and Hope walked out to find sea urchins.  They are little specks way out there but the water is only up to their ankles!!

We took some family pictures in the evening :)

The Weekend

Sunrise on the bayside...

Friday we spent the day on the beach again out by the Jetties...

We got pretty burnt on Thursday so we stopped by a Goodwill to get some cheap hats to protect our faces!

Some friends came in the afternoon to spend some time with us which was very fun!
Joshua and Michael head out to go snorkeling by the jetties. They saw a lot of colorful fish.

Looks like they found a jellyfish

If you don't touch the tentacles you won't get stung

Sarah and I walked all the way out on the Jetty

Joshua and Michael went out a little later...

The sunset was gorgeous...

Bro. Willie and his family brought a delicious dinner to the park Friday night... ham, beans, potato salad, rolls, the whole works!!

Friday evening I went home with Sarah and her cousin Faith and Saturday we went shopping together before they dropped me off back at the campground.  Saturday everyone else spent the day at the beach.

Sunday we went to church at Faith Tabernacle where Brother Slay is the pastor.

Sunday after church they got pizza and ate lunch at the church...

We had such a wonderful time while we were in Panama City!
Monday morning we drove about an hour east to St. Joseph's State Park where we camped until Tuesday night.

Shell Island - FL

Thursday we rented a pontoon boat and headed over to Shell Island.

the beach where we were Wednesday...

::sisters::

Look who's driving!!

He looks a little nervous...probably from all the instructions coming from his backseat drivers :)

We parked the boat on the bay side and walked across the dunes to the gulf... we had the whole beach to ourselves!

The water is so clear!!

Benjamin following Mommy down the beach as she looked for shells.

He doesn't like sand on his feet so he kept his boots on the whole time :)

Shell Island is over 7 miles long so we parked at several different spots during the day.
We were excited to see a dolphin while we were on the bay side.

This boardwalk got covered by the dunes!

Jellyfish washed up on shore...

David loves playing in the sand

Part of a sand dollar Daddy found.

Sunburnt and smiling from a day filled with fun we went back to our motorhome for the evening.  Some friends stopped by a little later, David and his friend, Andrew :)
