Swimming at the pond

It has been very hot here for the last few days.  So...to cool off we have been swimming in our amish neighbor's pond.  There is a "high" dive that is about twelve feet off the water and a "low" dive that is about three feet off the water.  For the first time, Joyanna jumped off the high dive!!!  Way to go, Joy!

Uncle Mike & Aunt Heather

On Saturday we went to our Uncle & Aunt's house in Maryland.  We had a lot of fun riding on the go cart, swimming in the pool, and playing with their three week old puppies.

We drove it so much that it ran out of gas!

I didn't realize that I didn't get any good pictures of the puppies until I sat down to post. But, I did snap this one of them in the kennel in the garage, there are four females and one male. Two black and three yellow. Their mother is a black lab and the father is a yellow lab. I love puppies!

Also our great Uncle Jack and his wife, Joyce, were there along with their daughter Jenny, her husband, Bill, and their two children, Lia and Trent.
This is my mom's cousin, Jenny.  She needs your prayers!
She was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago.

God bless!

Quote of the Day

An awsome quote and scripture were on www.branham.org today... thought I would share it.

61-1015M
Questions And Answers
Jesus is the hidden Manna; Christ is the church's Manna. What is manna? Manna in the Old Testament was that what come down from heaven fresh every night to sustain the church in its journey. Is that right? Now, in the New Testament what is the hidden Manna? "A little while and the world seeth Me no more (hidden); yet ye shall see Me, for I'll be with you, even in you to the end of the world." And Christ is that hidden Manna that comes from God out of heaven afresh every day--every day. We can't say, "Well, two weeks ago I had a great experience of God." What about right now? See? Every day, fresh, a new blessing, a new something coming from God, the hidden Manna coming down from God out of heaven, Christ. And we feast upon this Manna which is Christ, and He sustains us through the journey till we reach the--the land on the other side.

DAILY BREAD
For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
JOHN 6:33

God bless you!

Chik-Fil-A - Dress Like A Cow"

Every July Chik-Fil-A gives away a free meal to all those who dress up like a cow and come in to their restaurants.  Daddy, Mommy, Joshua, Lillia, Hope, Joy, Elainah, and David along with our cousin Faith, dressed up like cows.  The girls painted black spots on white aprons and decorated white ribbons with black spots to adorn their ponytails, while Joshua and David decorated white shirts and Daddy and Mommy put white spots on their black shirts.
We drove two vehicles, so Daddy could go on to work from the restaurant.  Of course after Daddy left to go to work, we hit another Chik-Fil-A.  However, at this one we went through the drive-thru because the restaurant was packed full.  :)

2,000 miles...

Four years ago I, (Kaitlyn) got a new Raliegh Passage 4.0 for my birthday.  Around May of this year, I decided to try to reach 2,000 miles on my bike by my 14th birthday.  I had about 1,500 when I decided to do this.  So I tryed to average about ten mile a day, and some days 20 miles a day.  By the time my birthday rolled around, I was about 150 miles shy of 2000.  I gave myself another week, (till camp) and when that came, I still had about 120 miles.  While I was away at camp, my dear loving siblings (Lillia and Joshua) and my daddy rode my bike until the speedometer read 1,999.0 then let me ride the last mile.
   Wasn't that sweet of them?

Amish Rodeo

On Sunday, (June 26th) the K. family from IN, drove Kaitlyn back home.  Steve, Karen, Amelia, and Autumn stayed with us for three days and on Monday evening we took them to a local Amish Rodeo.  Every Monday night throughout the summer the riders practice barrel racing, pole bending, and cattle herding, among other events.  Then in September the "BIG RODEO" happens, where the riders compete for ribbons and prizes.   The rodeo is only about two miles from our house, so Amelia, Kaitlyn, Lillia, Hope, Autumn, Joy, and Elainah walked.  Well, Joy and Elainah really rode on Amelia and Kaitlyn's backs.  :)
 Cattle Herding.
Three riders go out to the herd at the other end of the
arena.  The announcer calls out a number and they have to find the
three cattle that have that number on their backs.  Then the riders herd
the three cattle into the corral, (shown above)  Some teams got them all
in the corral in less than 35 seconds!

This little cutie was in the barn with its mother.
Isn't it adorable?  It is probably not over two feet tall!

David had fun watching the horsies.
