July Birthday's *<:o)

July is a busy birthday month for our family.  One Sunday afternoon we drove down to Delaware to celebrate Uncle Mike and Grandmommy's birthdays.

For lunch we had a fun time pickin' crabs!

Cracking the legs to get to the meat...

David loved using the hammer!

Just be aware that if you sit near him you'll probably have crab juice and shell pieces all over you after he's satisfied with smashing the legs!

This little cutie thought he was big stuff sitting under the cake table!

Mom's birthday is also in July... She's the best mom ever, so we tried to make her birthday a special day:)  I had to work, so Dad texted me and asked me to pick up a few Amish ladies and their families on my way home.  He had gone and gotten cake and ice cream to surprise her and thought it would be nice if we invited some of her friends over for the evening.

Happy Birthday Mom!

:: a peek into our week ::

Dress like a cow (one day out of the year) and get a free meal at Chick-fil-A!
Cousin Patrick came for a visit and so he went along with the Sanger Herd.

Joshua was in Maryland for a week with Pop-pop and Mom-mom so when Mom went to pick him up she suggested they meet at a near-by Chick-fil-a :)  They were good sports and wore the cow costumes mom brought along :P

There's nothing like a dip in the pool on a warm summer day!

The kids put the ladder inside the pool and were jumping off it onto a boogie board!

Warm summer nights are perfect for sleeping on the trampoline!

Our neighbors were across the street pulling the onions so David wanted to go over and help Henry! :)

Of course I had to go over and take a few subtle pictures!

Katie called and said we could have all the onions we wanted since they got wet in the recent rain.
Once the tops are cut off they rot quicker because they're damp.

We spent the good part of a day chopping onions...

There are plenty of onions in the freezer now!

Sunday Afternoon Fellowship

On Sunday afternoon we hosted another fellowship meal at the picnic grove.  Dad, Mom, Joshua, and Benjamin left a earlier that morning so Benjamin's entertainment was a paper towel roll while he sat safely in the sink!

Dad and Mom decided to serve rotisserie chicken so we ordered 60 chickens from Sam's Club.  Aunt Jennifer kindly went and picked up the chickens and brought them back to the picnic grove where we had an assembly line going to take the chickens apart.

Before the meal was served, Dad had everyone join hands in a big circle and we sang a song together before praying.

To help the line move along a little faster we had servers.  The line came up to the middle of the table and went both ways, the food was the same either way.
