Spring!!! ....and a little random :)

Yes, it is that time of year when the farmers start to plow, the daffodils start to bloom, and the trees start to bud...Spring!

Our Amish neighbor, John

Our neighbor David just bought a racehorse that did not make the cut and he's been training it...you should see this horse run!!!

This is the wreath on our front door... what, might you ask, is so neat about our wreath?  Well, every year a pair of birds nest in the wreath.  We've had Robins, House Wrens, and Purple Finches.  Last year Daddy used our old video camera and set it up so we could watch the birdies "LIVE" from our video monitor.  It was really cool to watch the birds as they hatched and got bigger and bigger and finally flew out of the nest!  This year it is a pair of Purple Finches and they have laid four eggs!!!

The other day I combed and trimmed up Diamonds (our pony's) mane...you can see pieces of his hair in the nest!

Lillia found a four leaf clover!!!

Mommy's rhododendron bush is blooming!

Sweet lil David!

The Wedding Celebration Continues!!!

The reception for Levi & Rachel's wedding was held at Shady Maple Banquet Facility and we all had to be out of there by three o'clock.  (It was a morning wedding)  So Mommy and Daddy invited everyone back to our house since we only live a few minutes away.  The weather was a bit wet but everyone still had fun!!!  About 125 people came back to our house, from many different states; Indiana, Ohio, Arkansas, and Quebec, Canada to name a few.

If you come to the Sangers of course you have to learn to unicycle, right?  :)

It was quite chilly so the campfire was a popular warm spot to be!!

David and his friend Sarah

We had a few guessing games... How many band aids and cotton balls do you think are in the jar? Congratulations to Phillip L. who guessed 113 and there were 110 band aids and cotton balls.  How much money do you think is in the jar?  Congratulations to Melissa B. who guessed $12.35 and the amount was $12.42.

We also had a marriage scavenger hunt.  Each team was made up of ten people that you chose.
Also, each team named themselves.

THE SHOE GAME
Four couples sat back to back.  They each took off their shoes and exchanged one with their spouse.   Daddy and Mommy thought of 27 questions to ask them!  For example when Daddy asked, "Who looses the keys more often?"  Each would  raise the shoe of who they thought it was.  If they both raised the same shoe then they got a point.  It was pretty funny to watch them!!!  Here are a few of the questions asked.  "Who is more stubborn?  Who is the biggest baby when sick?  If there is one piece of pizza left who gets it?  Who is more likely to lock their keys in the car?  Who is the better driver?  Who sings better?  etc."

"Who would most likely call the police?"

Justin and Jessica won the couples game!!  Congratulations!!  The funny part is, out of the four participating couples, they have been married the shortest time!!  :)  Their prize was pancake mix and syrup.  Evidently Levi fell in love with Rachel's pancakes and then in love with the cook!  :)

Levi & Rachel - March 24th 2012

Rachel Joy and William Levi were married on March 24th 2012.
Joyanna had a blast being a flower girl in their wedding!
It was an amazingly beautiful event.

Rachel's cousin, Teron, walked down just before her holding this sign; "Here Comes The Bride"
I know the picture is blurry but it was so cute!

Everyone was given a packet of Lavender Rice to throw at the bride and groom

David and Uncle Butch

Their getaway car was the same type as the one Rachel's grandparents dated in.

They released purple and silver balloons as they departed

Uncle Steve was a very good MC he had everyone laughing!

My sweet little siblings!

After the reception the bridal party went over to a local park to take pictures.  We were there before everyone else so the photographers did a little session with Joy.

David and Levi having a little chat... :)

Joy was so "unposed" in this picture.  I thought it was really cute!
