Remember a while back when I posted about the "Amish Rodeo"?
Well the "BIG" rodeo was on Monday the 29th. The rodeo has a lot of different activites for the riders to participate in. Every Monday evening during the summer they practice for the big day where they are awarded with ribbons and prizes.
Here's a list of the evenings events;
Dollar Bareback
Pole Bending
Egg & Spoon
Barrel Racing
Two Man Baton
Cowboy Dress Up
Baseball 50 Yard Dash
Team Penning
Three Man Race
Bareback Pick Up
Musical Feed Bags
One event I had never seen before was "Dollar Bareback". All the riders entered the ring bareback and had to ride around the ring with a dollar held between the calf of their leg and the side of the horse. They went around at a walk then at a lope and then at a canter. If your dollar fell you were out.

Joy in her new skirt...Mommy did a great job!

Everyone was concentrating on their eggs and
they weren't watching where they were riding!

Every year they give away a pony to children 12 & under.
All the children who entered have to go into the arena and then they draw a ticket out of the bucket.
This year it was a filly, she was really pretty but a bit wild!
