On Wednesday we started our day by heading to Denali National Park. The highest mountain in North America at 20310 feet, Mount McKinley, is located in this park. Unfortunately, it was rainy and foggy so we didn't get to see "The Mountain". We had awesome weather throughout the week considering that it is their rainy season, with only a few spritz.
We stopped at a pull off to join the bears picking wild blueberries.
They say "where there are berries-there are bears."
Berries - yes.
Bears - no.
Looks like Serenah is quite enthralled by this video.
Benjamin shooting the bear.
Serenah loved this little rock, which was her seat.
When someone walked by she would wave and say "hi". Such a cutie pie!
We have a little bear cub in our family.☺
Fortunately the weather cleared up in the afternoon for us to enjoy the beautiful scenery around Denali National Park.
Alaska has AWESOME scenery!
Daddy, Lillia, Joy, Elainah, and David went on a hike along the creek that evening.
Whenever wildlife is spotted you will see ALOT of spectators.
A man let us view a huge bull moose through his spotting scope.
We were blessed to see many moose while we were there.

Special friends, Brother Matt and Sister Ruth, invited us to come to their home in Fairbanks.
They got a hiking trip together to Angel Rocks with some friends and family.
Approximately 40 of us enjoyed the beautiful hike up to the gigantic granite pillars!

Can you spot Elainah and Lillia?
Siles and Mylah getting something to drink.

Benjamin with his friends Mylah and Hannah.
We met a very nice family from western Australia on the hike.
The little gang Levi, David and Peter.
Everyone was invited back to Bro. Matt's and Sis. Ruth's that evening for food and fellowship.
They made us the true Alaskan meal of grilled caribou steak and fillet halibut. Delicious!

Our last day we had to return the motorhome by 11am and our flight out wasn't till 8pm.
So we picked up a couple rental vehicles and did some hiking around Anchorage.

Good bye Alaska! We hope to come back real soon.

Looking at all of your beautiful pictures was overwhelming. What a HUGE state with miles of open country. Looks like fall has already arrived there. So nice that you got to see friends and make new friends. Grandmommy
