A Day on the Lake

Day two at the Raystown Lake also happened to be the last day for this too short of a vacation.
A few very excited kids and a dad waking us all up in their enthusiasm to get down to the lake and onto water.   I hope you all enjoy this short video I put together of our day on the water.

Raystown Lake | part 1

My Dad thought it would be fun to do a little trip to Raystown Lake about 3 hours from our home.
The lake was made from the damming of the Juniata River and stretches more than 25 miles long.

After setting up our campsite we walked down to the lake to do some fishing.

David wasn't satisfied with just being on the shore, so he waded in.
He caught a few striped bass but the size limit is 20 inches.
So we roasted hotdogs for dinner instead of fish.

Benjamin and his tiny fish.

Serenah's not sure if she likes Mr. Otter.

We decided to walk down to the marina where there is a fish feeding station. WOW!  We were surprised to see how many fish were at the shore waiting for someone to come along.

Although they were ugly Carp it was still cool to watch them go crazy over the food that you threw in.    You had to take a step back if you didn't want to get splashed!

Not sure what this is about, can you guess?

Serenah finished up the last of the popcorn just as our day was finishing.

Stay tuned for day two!

A Picnic on Hallelujah Hill

Brother Roger and Sister Glenda are amazing hostesses at their annual picnic
at their home in central PA.

They work themselves really hard to make an enjoyable day for everyone.

Sister Glenda had some toys for the littles.  Serenah really enjoyed the bubbles.

We had an awesome time on Hallelujah Hill!
