Alaska Day #5

  Friday (September 30th) was our last day in Alaska.  We had to turn the motorhome back in by 11:00 a.m. so we were quite busy getting everything packed and the motorhome cleaned.  Daddy had reserved a rental van for the day, because our flight wasn't until 8:30 p.m.
  After picking up the rental van and dropping off the motorhome, we went to Alaska Public Lands Information Center in Anchorage. They had lots of interesting educational videos.

 We worked on a scavanger hunt.

Turning their papers in...

We went on a 45 min. walking tour with a park ranger, who told us about the
city of Achorage.  When we would get to a particular spot he would show us
pictures of that exact location after the 1964 earthquake.

After getting some subs from Subway we went to Eathquake Park.
 Joy burning off some energy.

 "EARTHQUAKE!"

There were a lot of signs and monuments at the park.
I thought it was very nice to see a scripture on one!

Reverend William Marion Branham;
    "I told Mr. Woods; is present tonight. And, I guess, eight or ten of the man, or fifteen, that was there at that time when it took place; the next morning, where the Lord came down in a whirlwind and ripped the mountain out around us, and cut the tops of the trees loose, and made three blasts, and said, "Judgment is headed towards the West Coast."
    Two days after that, Alaska almost sunk beneath the earth. And since then, up-and-down the Coast, the belches of God's judgment against that spiritual screen. There is a iron curtain, there is a bamboo curtain, and there is a sin curtain."

        We flew out of Anchorage at 8:30 p.m. a red-eye flight so most of us slept!  We arrived in DFW at 5:30 a.m. and had a three hour layover.  We were sitting a gate over from the gate we were departing out of when a we saw two familiar faces!  Bro. Bucky and Sis. Andrea.  They were coming home from a vacation and were on our flight to Philadelphia!

     Our flight landed in Philly around 1:00 p.m.   After claiming our luggage we drove home.  We passed a marshy area and Joshua jokingly said, "Hey, moose habitat!"  haha!
     The trip to Alaska was so enjoyable.  Thanks to Daddy and Mommy for taking us!
