Thursday evening we left Canada and headed for home...after driving through the night and most of Friday morning we arrived at Itasca State Park in Minnesota. Sis. Holly had told us you can walk across the Mississippi River here! There were quite a lot of people "walking" across the Mississippi since it was Fourth of July weekend, but we managed to get a picture!
We continued on through Friday night and Saturday afternoon we stopped to visit the Bahner family in Western PA. We spent the night there and had church with them on Sunday morning.
The Mellema family also came over on Sunday.
Sunday afternoon we left "Bahnerville" and drove the last leg of the journey home. After over 5,000 miles we praise the Lord for a safe and wonderful time! Thanks to everyone who opened up their homes and hearts to our family. Unpacking the van, laundry, mowing the yard, and weeding the gardens kept us busy for a few days!

loved going on vacation w/ you all...it was very enjoyable:) kate
ReplyDeleteThat is a ton of adventure for sure! Like your signature, btw. :)
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about all your adventures. I looked at the picture of you all on the bridge across the Mississippi and it looks like it won't be long until three of you kids will be taller than your Mom. I wonder which one of you will pass your mom up first? Chris
