Thursday night we camped at the Blue Mounds State Park in the south western part of Minnesota.
This park is known for it's massive outcroping of Sioux quartzite.
The park also has a small resident bison herd. The buffalo were grazing pretty far out into the meadow so we didn't get any pictures of them.
.
After we set up the tent we went for a walk to the Bison Viewing Deck.
Friday morning we went for a hike along the cliff line.
Everyone was pretty warm by the time we got back so we went swimming!
Haha!
Minnesota State Parks all have free fishing poles and tackle for those who want to fish.
Next Post; The Badlands, South Dakota
Thumbs up! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like beautiful weather. That's awesome they let you have free poles, etc. I enjoyed the eagle post and will have to show Lark. I think he will like it, too. Chris
