  Harmony in the Desert
Every year in January Bro. Bobby hosts an amazing musical event at the Hotel Tucson from Wednesday until Sunday for hundreds of guests.  There are many talented singers and musicians performing each night.  On Sunday Bro. Bobby generously invites everyone to eat a delicious Mexican meal prepared by the hotel.  It is a wonderful time of fellowship!  We were only there a couple of nights this year, but it was a blessing.

Bread Day

Sis. Sarah taught us how to make different kinds of bread!  She taught us about ingredient reactions and relationships.  For instance yeast feeds on simple sugar and releases carbon dioxide that makes the dough rise.  The oil makes the bread more tender and increases the shelf life.
To start off she demonstrated how to make raisin bread, cinnamon rolls, dinner rolls, pigs in a blanket, sopapillas, and white bread with dough she had already mixed up.
These were baked and enjoyed as the afternoon snack.
The last thing we did was make up our own dough.  Each person was equipped with measuring spoons/cups, a BIG bowl, and the ingredients.  Then we each put our dough into a greased Ziploc bag and took it home to create our own baked goods.

It was nice to have Laurisa join us for class all the way from Alabama.

-Woodworking-

Sis. Melissa has done an awesome job teaching the boys class!  This time she taught how to make wooden candy dispensers. Special thanks to Uncle Karl and Uncle David for cutting the wood before the class.
She referred to the scripture in Psalms:
My meditation on Him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord.

Everyone enjoyed riding in their new golf cart.

~Sanger Christmas Dinner~

The Sanger Christmas dinner at Uncle David and Aunt Jeannette's was the same day.

When I say Sangers I mean Grandpa and all his siblings and their spouses and children and grandchildren and great grandchildren.....about 100 or so.

It is always fun to be with cousins!
