Shell Island - FL

Thursday we rented a pontoon boat and headed over to Shell Island.

the beach where we were Wednesday...

::sisters::

Look who's driving!!

He looks a little nervous...probably from all the instructions coming from his backseat drivers :)

We parked the boat on the bay side and walked across the dunes to the gulf... we had the whole beach to ourselves!

The water is so clear!!

Benjamin following Mommy down the beach as she looked for shells.

He doesn't like sand on his feet so he kept his boots on the whole time :)

Shell Island is over 7 miles long so we parked at several different spots during the day.
We were excited to see a dolphin while we were on the bay side.

This boardwalk got covered by the dunes!

Jellyfish washed up on shore...

David loves playing in the sand

Part of a sand dollar Daddy found.

Sunburnt and smiling from a day filled with fun we went back to our motorhome for the evening.  Some friends stopped by a little later, David and his friend, Andrew :)

~ December Vacation to Florida ~

A lot has happened in the past month since I posted...Joyanna celebrated her birthday, the homeschool club hosted a Nature Night, and our family went on a vacation to Florida.  Daddy rented an RV in PA and we moved it to Orlando, FL.  Everyone helped to pack all the food, bedding, and clothes needed for the 10 days we would be gone.  We left on Monday evening and arrived in Panama City, Florida by Wednesday morning.  Our first day on the beach at the St. Andrews State Park where we camped was absolutely gorgeous!  The weather was perfect and the water so clear!

There were jellyfish washed up on the beach...
This is a Cannonball Jellyfish

And this is a Moon Jellyfish

My lovely parents celebrated their 19th anniversary in Florida!

We spent all day on the beach and in the evening we went to Gator Pond...

We saw one little gator off the boardwalk

See anymore? :)

In the evening we went to Faith Tabernacle for church.
It was great to see friends we hadn't seen in a while!

We spent Thursday through Sunday in the Panama City area, more pictures to come!!
